The importance of research in short films
Researching short films is very important because it allows the person researching about the topic to explore many different ideas and ways of getting ideas.

Rea et al states that, "you might need to do extensive research to determine whether the subject matter warrants making short film." (2015, pg. 30) This is important because it tells us that when researching about short films that extensive research is needed because you need the detail to make a good short film. Rea continues on saying, "you might have to have to view films or videos on the same or similar subjects, research newspaper and magazine articles, or conduct pre-interviews". This quote I have picked out has given more sources of secondary research which could be very useful for researching for example watching a short film or video on the topic you want to do could be a very useful way to get an insight on the topic,this would enable you to construct credible representation of the area or subject matter.
